Absolutely Gorgeous, and feels worth more than what you've paid for.

I would rate this over 9000 stars if I could, but you know what I'm trying to point out. This artbook holds sentimental value, especially if you are a fan of Yabuki Kentaro and his works (Black Cat, Mayoi Neko Overrun, to-love ru). This is the first review I've ever posted on Amazon, so apologies if I don't help out, but I have to write something for this lovely piece.

Type: Hardcover (with a plasic case to help protect the book even more)
Pages: 142
Paper Quality: Very High - A real high DPI, it's as if Kentaro-sensei drew it himself onto the very book you have bought.
Coloring: Very well done. There aren't too many dark artworks in the book, so most of it is very bright and colorful with nearly perfect hues.
Binding: Very tight, some 2-page artworks are kind of cut-off and not visible unless you stretch out the book enough (which I did not want to do at all...), but it's a minor set-back UNLESS you really loved the 2-page artworks the most. This is probably one of the very few, if not only, setback/con.

Colored Artworks: There are 69 unique color illustrations (correct me if I'm wrong, but I laughed... hahah funny me...) including the cover art (which in all honesty, all I need to take a look at is the cover's front and back, and I feel wholesomely satisfied without ever looking through the book). I mean "unique" as in "without counting outfit replacements and vectors" because the cover has a special ecchi surprise if you remove it. Most of the artworks were already released before this book came out because they were featured on the darkness manga covers, japanese blu-ray covers, magazine features, etc.(meaning that they are not "only released in the book"). The cover and several ecchi (oppai, boobs, the good stuff) illustrations would be the new additions~
Monochrome Artworks: There are about 39 monochrome artworks/sketches, with a few that are new and the rest coming from earlier releases, like the "Little Sister's" book he released back in 2011. There are about 5 "rare" sketches (because they are labeled as "rare sketches") that are also unique to just this release.
Fold-outs: There are 2 ecchi fold-out illustrations that take up 2 pages (without binding cutting through the middle, yay!), with this now nearly famous illustration of Mikan [...] taking up 4 pages.
Commentaries/Non-Artwork: There are about 5 or 6 pages in the back that make up resources of where the artworks came from in Japanese (I could read it, but it's not even a setback if you can't because of how little of the artbook it takes up) with a small paragraph by Yabuki Kentaro himself stating his thanks for your purchase/support~

1) What's the best price I can get this book for?
Around 42 - 45 dollars with shipping in new/unopened condition, I strongly recommend users go to amazon japan as that's where you can get it for that price range. Simply search To-LOVEる‐とらぶる‐ダークネス画集-Venus once you're there. It's 2 day shipping via DHL by the way and for 1 item a flat rate of 1200 yen (always around a 1:1 ratio of 1 yen to 1 cent) and add 4 bucks to each item afterwards. You can only buy magazines, books, artbooks and dvd/blu rays from amazon jp for it to ship internationally.
2) Is there anywhere else that I can buy it instead of amazon japan?
Another favorite site of mine is CDJapan. They have this book up for 2857 yen, or about 29 USD with an expected 12-15 bucks shipping cost for SAL (which doesn't have tracking and can take 2-5 weeks to arrive to you) and 20-25 bucks for EMS (2-4 day shipping).
My Personal Take (skip this, I rant...)

I've been up-to-date with Yabuki Kentaro since the Black Cat tv show came out in Fall of 2005, and I saw it on the internet. I looked him up and have been in love with his work ever since. He creates god tier work and his stuff is worth every penny... you would/would have/will/must pay for this artbook. When I received my book, I opened it with extraordinary care. I don't think I opened something so cautiously in my life. Not even my grandeur paycheck came close to how I opened it. I somewhat regretted tearing off that plastic encasing, but after I opened the book and feasted my olfactories and peripherals onto the pages... I walked into the gates of heaven itself. My optic nerves practically lit on fire and my brain imploded from the intense heat, but then I came back (excuse the chuunibyou). Anyways, if you have even 1% interest in this book, buy it. You will not ever regret that choice. There's a reason why this artbook sold 150,000 units within 1 week of its release in Japan alone. I'm pretty sure it's already around and past 300,000 units internationally (2013). The cover blew my heart away and the rest put me back together, but would blow me away again. Whatever you do, treat it with care, especially if you intend to be... a little rough... play safe and be safe. Enjoy it, wholeheartedly :).

How could you not buy this?

This art book is a must have. If you are a fan of the series and with Kentaro Yabuki's works, don't pass this up. The art book is pure perfection, cover to cover. That's the best description of this product.
Cover: Detailed. Comes with a full hard-plastic slip that covers the book for protection. Not only that, the covering is specially made. It is a hardbound book with a fully colored, fully detailed front and back cover. Take off the cover, an even more detailed(and explicit) cover of the book is satisfying to lay eyes on. To put it simply, there are three different coverings, yet insanely colored and illustrated.
Contents: The pages of the book are thick. Writing is in Japanese. Also can be explicit at times. Each flip of the page is elegantly illustrated, fully colored. Not one page is disappointing. All the girls of the To Love Ru Darkness cast is beautifully portrayed in some of the sexiest and very appealing fashion and poses. This art book also contains a "Monochrome" section, where the artist sketched each female character in black and white. A pleasureful time to flip through.
In the end, an item well worth buying at the price that is given. This really deserves a 5/5, so if you plan to buy this, enjoy. :)

A MUST BUY for TLR Fans or fans of ecchi artwork.

Simply fantastic, excellent artwork by Yabuki Kentaro and this item is worth every penny.
The cover has a two different versions including an explicit version which ecchi fans will surely enjoy.
Almost the entire book (80% or so) is fully illustrated with all of the girls from To Love Ru.
As most TLR fans know, the series is filled with ecchi moments, and the artist made sure to bring that sexual nature in this book, so you are in for a treat!
The book is also big and the pages are thick, trust me you are getting a very detailed and quality oriented product here, this will easily become one of your favorite artbooks.
HIGHLY recommended.
